Charles de Bonchamps (1760-1793). A royalist general in the Vendée War, he is known for having pardoned 5,000 revolutionary soldiers during the Battle of Cholet. Work by Pierre Décamps circa 1960. Executed in lead leaf on a rigid lead frame. Pierre Décamps worked extensively with Ballada, and numerous figurines from his workshop can be admired at the Musée de la figurine in Compiègne. Size 65mm.
