Lucotte. First Empire period. General Marbot. Club Lucotte” series. Manufactured by C.B.G. – Mignot circa 1970. Solid lead. Superb.
In the early 1970s, C.B.G. – Mignot, owner of the Lucotte brand, had the idea of creating a “Club Lucotte”. It was dedicated to discerning collectors, seeking both uniformological accuracy and highly meticulous paintwork. The soldiers reserved for “Club Lucotte” members at the time were still made “the old-fashioned way”. They were gravity-cast in the original molds, then deburred and the accessories tin-welded. Finally, they were carefully painted by expert workers in the rue Charlot workshops.
