Louis II of Bourbon-Condé known as the Grand Condé (1621-1686). He is the winner of the battle of Rocroi, against the Spaniards in 1643. He is also one of the leaders of the Fronde which opposes a part of the nobility to the young king Louis XIV, his cousin. Reconciled with the latter, he went to war again, and covered himself with glory on all the battlefields. He died covered with honors at the age of 65.
