Anne Marie-Louise d’Orléans, nicknamed “La Grande Mademoiselle” (1627-1693), granddaughter of Henri IV, Countess of Eu and Montpensier, Dauphine d’Auvergne and Princess of Joinville. Its wealth was matched only by its independence. She opposed Louis XIV, her cousin, during La Fronde. Old manufacture by Gustave Vertunni, France, around 1940.
