Jacques Coeur (circa 1400-1456). Talented businessman, powerful banker, he became the trusted man of King Charles VII. After having amassed considerable wealth, he was banished from the kingdom and died in Greece fighting the Turks. Old manufacture of Gustave Vertunni, France, around 1940. Hollow lead figurine, filled with plaster. Scale 55mm to the eye line. Overall height: 60 – 65mm.
