Marshal Jean Mathieu Sérurier (1742-1819). He spent most of his career in the armies of the Ancien Régime, before joining the Army of Italy in 1797. First Consul Bonaparte, then the Emperor, rewarded him by appointing him Governor of Les Invalides. He did not take part in the wars of the Empire. Made by Gustave Vertunni, France, circa 1950.
