François Séverin Marceau-Desgraviers (1769-1796). French general of the Revolution. He joined the king’s armies at the age of sixteen and then participated in the Vendée Wars with the Revolutionary Army of the West. At 24, he was promoted to major general and distinguished himself in the Army of Sambre-et-Meuse, alongside Jourdan and Kléber. He died there in 1796. His remains rest in the Panthéon. Antique piece by Gustave Vertunni, France, circa 1950. Solid lead figurine. Scale 55mm to the eye line. Overall height: 60-65mm. François Marceau (1769-1796).
