Jean Lannes (1769-1809), count of Montebello. He became a division general after the Egyptian campaign and was made marshal of the Empire in 1804. He was wounded in the legs by a cannonball at Essling and died a few days later. If he was a gifted military leader, he was also a friend of the Emperor who will mourn him sincerely.
