Maurice Gigost d’Elbée 1752-1794). Royalist leader during the Vendée War, he was Generalissimo of the Catholic and Royal Army, succeeding Cathelineau. Work by Pierre Décamps circa 1960. Executed in lead leaf on a rigid lead frame. Pierre Décamps worked extensively with Ballada, and numerous figurines from his workshop can be admired at the Musée de la figurine in Compiègne. Size 65mm.
