Louis IX “Saint-Louis” (1214-1270). Saint-Louis is the son of Louis VIII the Lion and Blanche of Castille. He married Marguerite de Provence. He left the image of a very pious king, fond of justice and devotion. He died in Tunisia during the 8th crusade. Old manufacture of Gustave Vertunni, France, around 1940. Hollow lead figurine, filled with plaster. Scale 55mm to the eye line. Overall height : 60 – 65mm.
