Marshal Michel Ney (1769-1815), Duke of Elchingen, Prince of La Moskowa. The Emperor Napoleon called him “the brave of the brave”. He made a career during the wars of the revolution, and was already a major general when in 1804 the Emperor made him marshal of the Empire. He was involved in all the campaigns and was often decisive in many victories. He was judged for having joined the Emperor during the hundred days. He was shot on December 7, 1815. Old manufacture of Gustave Vertunni, France, around 1950. Solid lead figurine. Scale 55mm to the eye line. Overall height : 60 – 65mm.
