Louis XV, King of France (1710-1774). He succeeds Louis XIV of whom he is only the great-grandson. Five years old at the death of the latter, he is only crowned at the age of thirteen. He marries Marie Leczinska of Poland. Nicknamed “the beloved”, his long reign is difficult and contested by parliament. We can see there the beginnings of the revolution.
