Antoine Nompar de Caumont, better known as Duke of Lauzun, (1633-1723). He had a long, eventful life. Covered with honors by King Louis XIV, he fell from grace, and was imprisoned for part of his life. He is best known for having been the lover, and for a time the husband, of the Grande Mademoiselle, cousin of the king, and the wealthiest party of the time.
